How We Work

To obtain design expertise, Lynn Wallace visits your home for an hourly fee. The information gathered at this meeting combined with our experience and design expertise formulates our plans for your project. At this point, if you choose to enter into a flat-fee agreement with Kitchens and Baths by Lynn you would receive a design package that includes:

• Initial consultation includes possible design options, budget and timeline
• Preliminary design concepts and space plans
• Detailed floor plan
• Lighting specifications and electrical ceiling plan
• Color palette and textures to be used
• Product specifications - details and pricing
• Construction labor costs
• Shopping to needed vendors like granite, tile and appliance stores

This package is based on a step-by-step proven process that normally takes between 6-8 weeks. At the end of that period you will have a clear idea of costs, style, concept and starting time.

There are other businesses who design services and baths, who are not as service oriented, that simply want to answer a few questions, measure the space and sell you the cabinets and finishes that are “hot” at the moment. Lynn Wallace is recognized as a lighting specialist and creates "lighting magic" that visually alters living space in a positive way. Lighting adds interest, ambiance and drama to a room. Or, it can make a room feel bigger, brighter and deeper.

Lighting is an important consideration when remodeling a kitchen or bath yet is affordable as it’s only about 10% of the overall cost. However, the return on your investment is much greater than this minimal cost.
